Latitude Building Group delivered a full outdoor renovation for a family in Sutherland, turning an unused backyard into a multi-purpose entertaining space. The project includes a custom bar area, inside–outside servery window, BBQ island, artificial turf zone, and practical additions like a shower, heaters, and ceiling fans for all-season use.

The Initial Concepts
The brief was to create a backyard that worked as an extension of the home and into a space where the family could relax, entertain, and spend time outdoors throughout the year. The existing yard didn’t meet their needs, so the entire area was redesigned with function, comfort, and lifestyle front of mind.
Key considerations included:
- Designing a relaxed but cohesive entertaining space
- Integrating a full outdoor bar with sink, beer tap, and storage
- Creating a seamless flow through a servery bar window
- Adding a BBQ island with bench seating for gatherings
- Incorporating a shower for pool and outdoor use
- Installing heaters and ceiling fans for all-season comfort
- Using artificial turf for a low-maintenance, kid-friendly zone
